FAQS
What Would You Like to Know?
DO YOU CHARGE BY THE HOUR?
For regular plumbing and heating work in existing residence, we charge by the hour for our Technician's time plus the cost of materials used to perform the service. A one hour minimum is charged for each visit plus travel time which varies depending on the distance. For large, complex jobs, we will need to walk through the area and provide a bid with a fixed price of work to be done.
HOW CAN I EXPLAIN WHAT IS WRONG?
We always take the time to chat in detail and request photos to determine what the real situation and its urgency for scheduling. This helps us to be more prepared, not waste time and not further inconvenvience the customer
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Payment is due at the time of service. If you pay with a check at the time service, the Technician will deduct 3% of the total price. If we email you an invoice, it is due upon receipt and you may pay by credit card online, call in with your credit card information, or mail us a check. We are working on avenues to improve the ease and burden of payment.
DO YOU HAVE EMERGENCY, AFTER HOURS, AND WEEKEND SERVICE?
At the present time, we offer limited emergency service -- afterhours and weekend. When it is available, the rate is time and a half for labor for Saturdays and double time for Sundays and Holidays. When emergencies do happen, most people prefer and are able to wait until regular business hours to have their plumbing or heating issues resolved. We do everything we can for NO WATER or NO HEAT events.
WHAT AREAS DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICE?
Primarily, we provide service for the Front Range and mountain communities. We have provided new construction/remodel service to areas ranging from Lone Tree to Bailey to Breckenridge to Black Hawk. For plumbing and heating service, the demand tends to be closer to Evergreen where we are located. That said, we provide plumbing and heating service down the I-70 corridor and surrounding communities, e.g. Idaho Springs, Golden, Genesee, Dillon, Georgetown, Conifer, etc.
WHAT IS THE USUAL WAIT TIME FOR A PLUMBING OR HEATING SERVICE APPOINTMENT?
Demand for different services varies depending on the time of year. For Example, heating service is in the greatest and most urgent demand during cold months. We do try to get you schedule and service your issue as soon as possible. If our schedule is full, we maintain a wait list for any vacancy that might occur. You are important to us and we feel a responsibility to our customers.
ARE YOU A LICENSED BUSINESS?
The State of Colorado requires that all plumbing businesses be licensed. They also require a Master Plumbers License be attached to that business. Adams Plumbing and Heating is both licensed and the owner is a Master Plumber himself with significant residential, commercial and medical gas experience.

The most important element of our business is our staff of plumbing and heting technicians. They are all highly trained and qualified. We have mostly Journeymen who have an apprentice work with them so that they also gain the correct and best experience while learning the trade. Our staff is expert, competent and produce quality work.
WHAT KIND OF NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS DOES YOUR COMPANY DO?
The majority, but not all, of our new construction work is for new homes in the foothills and mountain areas. As a business, it is truly enjoyable. That said, we also do similar type of work for remodel projects for both residential homes and businesses.
